Sakshi Chandra

Advisor on Clean Energy, United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Indonesia

Sakshi Chandra is a trained lawyer supporting the UN-Energy Secretariat and team at Sustainable Energy for All, and currently posted as Energy Advisor to United Nations Resident Coordinator, Indonesia; focused on stakeholder engagement and key partnerships. Her professional experience includes working with the World Bank, UN Secretariat, Government of India and international non-profit organizations among others.

She has played a pivotal role in facilitating the implementation of Energy Compacts, a High Impact Initiative aimed at closing energy access gaps, phasing out coal-fired power, and decarbonising energy systems, with commitments exceeding USD 1 trillion across member states, the private sector, and other non-state actors. With UNRC Indonesia, she leads energy partnerships and program coordination for the Resident Coordinator’s office with 26 UN agencies, funds and programmes. Providing UN government and key stakeholder support to member states and development partners.

She is a graduate of Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy/Harvard Kennedy School, and is deeply committed to advancing equity and inclusivity in all her endeavours.
