Former Lead Climate Change Specialist, East Asia Department of Asian Development Bank, Former Deputy Director General of National Climate Center

Lyu Xuedu is the former advisor on climate change at the ADB providing advice on climate change, carbon market and climate technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering from Tsinghua University. He is the adjunct professor at both Tongji and Tianjin universities. Prior to joining ADB, he worked as deputy director general of the National Climate Center of China, responsible for research, policy and international negotiations on climate change. On the international front, he is one of the inaugural members of the CDM Executive Board established under the Kyoto Protocol and served on the board for 8 years.
