Chen Zongzhu is the deputy director of the Laboratory of Tropical Forestry Resources Monitoring and Application in Hainan Province, and the deputy director of the Tropical Forestry Engineering Technology Research Center in Hainan Province. In recent years, he has undertaken 16 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, 52 engineering and consulting projects, presided over the construction of the measurement and monitoring system of forestry carbon sinks in Hainan Province, the GEP accounting of National Park of Hainan Tropical Rainforest, and presided over the planning of the Lingao County Forestry Carbon Sinks Transaction, Tropical Rainforest Carbon Sinks Transaction and other projects. He has published more than 70 academic papers and 5 monographs. He was awarded the National Greening Medal and the National Model Worker of Forestry and Grassland System.
