Mr. Tang has rich experience in project development and management in areas of carbon finance/green finance, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. Since 2001, he entered the field of climate change and carbon trading and developed the first CDM project approved by the Chinese government. After joining Det Norske Veritas (DNV) in 2005, he served as the manager of DNV’s climate change department in China, responsible for the validation and verification of all CDM projects in DNV’s China region. In 2007, he joined the UK Climate Change Capital Group (CCC), which manages the world’s largest private carbon fund with a total amount of 850 million euros. Mr. Tang served as the group’s director and China representative, responsible for managing over 50 CDM projects invested and developed by CCC in China, covering industries such as new energy, energy efficiency and coal. The contract amount exceeds 400 million euros and can generate over 14 million tons of CO2 emissions annually.

Since 2005, Mr. Tang has been Advisor at various training sessions for World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and National Development and Reform Commission, providing training on various topics including carbon market, carbon trading, green certificate, carbon asset management.

In 1993, Mr. Tang obtained a Bachelor degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the UK in 2000, and an EMBA from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University.
